# Leave the Dishes > A checkout-list trimmer for holiday-rental and short-stay hosts. Paste the checkout instructions you give guests, one request per line. Every request becomes a paper slip in a front-desk pigeonhole rack - fine as is, soften it, cleaner's job, or local need - and you get a short door-hanger card for guests and a list of what moves to the cleaner. URL: https://leave-the-dishes.skillsafe.ai/ API tutorial: https://leave-the-dishes.skillsafe.ai/api.html ## Free, in the browser - One slip per line of the list (bullets and numbering stripped; a single long paragraph is split into sentences). - A keyword guess of each slip's slot, in a fixed order: local need (the line names wildlife or bears, a locking or animal-proof bin, a septic system, freezing pipes, embers or ashes, a hot tub cover); soften it (washing or putting away dishes, stripping beds or laundry, carrying trash outside, not using an amenity); cleaner's job (vacuuming, mopping, wiping, scrubbing, cleaning); everything else is fine as is. - The verdict, by a fixed rule over the slots: rewrite the list (three or more cleaner's jobs); otherwise trim a few (anything softened or moved); otherwise ready to hang. - A draft door-hanger card (fine lines tidied, softened lines swapped for their light versions, cleaner's jobs left off) and a draft cleaner's list. - Exports: the card as text, print the hanger, Markdown, JSON, the requests as CSV; saved cards in the browser, or in your account when signed in. ## Metered (gpt-terra), one task: write the card - Every request sorted into one slot with a one-sentence reason, in the same check order as the page. - The heavier asks rewritten into their light versions: used dishes in the sink; the used towels gathered in one place; trash sorted into the indoor bins; an amenity turned off when leaving. - A door-hanger card of one to seven short lines in a warm, brisk or playful voice, built only from the lines for guests, and a cleaner's list in the host's own words. - The page re-checks every reply: every request sorted exactly once, the verdict against the reply's own slots, no cleaning or invented time on the card, a line for guests on every request that stays, one cleaner's line per moved chore, no booking platform named, and no internal field ids in the prose. ## Limits and honesty - A writing aid built on a light-versus-heavy rule of thumb. It is not any platform's policy text and is not affiliated with any platform; check your own platform's current house-rules policy. - The writer uses only what you typed: no invented times, codes, rooms, amenities or fees. - Nothing is sent anywhere until you press "Write the card". - Trend it answers: in October 2026 a major home-rental platform reported that, for stays booked from 20 November 2026, hosts may only ask guests for light checkout tasks (dishes in the sink rather than washed, used towels gathered rather than beds stripped, trash sorted indoors rather than carried off-site, an amenity switched off rather than banned), with exceptions for local needs such as animal-proof bins in bear country. ## Source Built on the SkillSafe skill @jmsktm/hospitality-coordinator (https://skillsafe.ai/skill/@jmsktm/hospitality-coordinator): hotel and restaurant operations, guest services and hospitality management.
